Two new talks online; Pittsburgh Perl Mongers
This week I gave two talks for the
Pittsburgh Perl Mongers. If you are interested in the slides from my talks, they are now available in the
Talks section of the site.
It was a lively meeting. There were
four fun technical talks and a tour of some of the cool embedded stuff that Barrie and Sean have been up to at
Slaymaker Systems. Afterwords, we went to the
Sharp Edge for some fine Belgian beers and festive geekery.
Hey, you! If you are interested in Perl (or programming in general) and live in Southwestern Pennsylvania, you ought to reserve the second Wednesday of every month for attending the Perl Mongers meetings. The meetings start at 7:00 PM, last about two hours, and usually culminate with most of the group heading to a good place to eat for geeky social fun. Do you
really want to stay home and watch yet another crime-investigation, pseudoscience-forensics, jury-trial, reality-show television drama? No way! Put down the remote and fill your brain with the good stuff – Perlish esoterica – and have fun while doing it.
See you at the next meeting!
