This page hold tech recipes that I use often.

TR Postscript to PNG. How to convert a Postscript or PDF image into transparent PNG using Ghostscript.
TR Joining Postscript and PDF files. How to join PS and PDF files into a single PDF file.
TR Joining movies. How to concatenate individual movie files into a single movie.
Tech Recipies/Improving MJPEG movies taken by digital cameras. How to improve the quality of Motion JPEG movies that many consumer-grade digital cameras create. Also: how to convert these movies into more-compressed formats.

Here are recipes that I must use infrequently and that you probably won't care about:

Alsa - No sound. No sound from your sound card under Alsa? Try tweaking the level and muting of every control in alsamixer.
