New docs on PXSL anonymous macros
Anonymous macros are a powerful tool for factoring out repetitive structure in XML documents. They are also easy to use --- once you get the hang of them. Unfortunately, the description of anonymous macros in the
PXSL documentation was too short and confusing, and I think that many people overlooked this handy tool.
To remedy this woeful situation, I have augmented and largely rewritten the portion of the documentation that describes anonymous macros. Please let me know if you find it helpful. (And
certainly let me know if you find it confusing.)
Site restored after untimely server failure
The bad news: Weathertop, the server that hosted the Community Projects site, died owing to a power-supply failure.
The good news: I maintain an up-to-date, hot backup of the server. Within a half hour I was able to migrate the C.P. site to another server (dol-guldur) a bring it back online. However, a few user home pages that were created recently have been lost because SnipSnap's database rolled back (or otherwise misplaced) some of the more recent transactions. If your home page was one of them, you must recreate it. Sorry.
Please accept my apologies for this inconvenience.
