        <s:content>1 New LectroTest release 0.20_08 for Perl {anchor:New LectroTest release 0.20_08 for Perl}&#xA;I just released version 0.20_08 of LectroTest for Perl.  In this version, I removed dependencies on newer Perl features to make LectroTest backward compatible with older Perls. I tested on 5.6.1 (i386-linux; Red Hat 7.2), but it might work with even older Perls.&#xA;&#xA;Because the code base has been stable, I have upgraded the development-stage metadata from alpha to beta.&#xA;&#xA;Other improvements include the following:&#xA;&#xA;- Paste can now be used to join elements of generated lists, which are &quot;flattened&quot; before pasting.&#xA;- Minor documentation improvements.&#xA;&#xA;As always, see the [LectroTest] section of the site for more information or to download the code or RPMs.  The distribution tarball should be hitting {link:CPAN|http://cpan.org/} shortly.  </s:content>
