However, upon system start-up /etc/init.d/firstboot checks for the file and, if it&apos;s missing, runs RedHat&apos;s video configuration program, which screws up your ATI card so that it causes the Dell monitor to blank periodically.  Therefore, after upding ATI&apos;s driver:&#xA;&#xA;* do not run ~~fglrxconfig~~&#xA;* do make sure /etc/X11/XF86Config exists and if not, create a link to XF86Config-4&#xA;</s:content>
