Why leave your favorite programming cocoon to chat? - __ESS.__ {link:Emacs Speaks Statistics|http://ess.r-project.org/} is a great Emacs-based front end to statistics packages like {link:R|http://www.r-project.org/}. Don't do stats without it! - __Haskell mode.__ The only way to edit Haskell code in Emacs. - __nXML mode.__ James Clark's spiffy XML editing mode with live validation via Relax NG schemas. See the {link:nXML site|http://www.thaiopensource.com/nxml-mode/} for more. - __RNC mode.__ David Rosenborg's major mode for editing RELAX NG compact-syntax schemata. 1.1 Haskell I have packaged the following for Fedora Core, but these packages should be usable on most Red Hat–based distributions. The HaskellDB and HSQL packages were built for GHC 6.2.1 on FC1. The others are more recent. If you want to use a different version of GHC, you should download the source RPMs and rebuild them (see [Rebuilding RPMs]). - __Emacs Haskell mode.__ (~~See Emacs section, above, for the details on this package.~~) - __GHC HaskellDB.__ Provides support for ODBC, PostgreSQL, and SQLite. Requires HSQL, either my GHC HSQL package (see next item) or HToolkit's HSQL package. - __GHC HSQL.__ Provides support for ODBC, PostgreSQL, and SQLite. The spec file for my packaging was based on the one provided by Conny Andersson for the {link:HToolkit|http://htoolkit.sourceforge.net/} project. - __WashNGo.__ ~~NEW!~~ The complete set of {link:Web Authoring System Haskell|http://www.informatik.uni-freiburg.de/~thiemann/haskell/WASH/} libraries, in one convenient, ready-to-roll package. WASH/CGI is an embedded, domain-specific language for server-side Web scripting with Sessions, Compositional Forms, Persistence, and Graphics. It offers an advanced web-programming model that greatly simplifies interactions and eliminates a large class of errors possible with traditional approaches. 1.1 Perl - __Test::LectroTest.__ You can download this RPM at the [LectroTest] home. 1.1 Statistics Here are some statistics-related packages. - __ESS:__ Emacs Speaks Statistics.
